Oh my god. Never. /never/. Say someone’s writing ending stupidly.
1- Peppers apology was implied. This line here gives off the feeling that she had or will apologize: “ she's devastated by the news and she feels guilty for not apologizing to you first. She'll be back home in about three days or so to work everything out.” This is Pepper Freaking Potts. She knows that she done messed up. She will apologize, but she wants to do it right and in person.
2- You say “the whole family is divided”……? How? Peppers parents are going to be shunned essentially from the Stark family. But as for the Stark family itself, it’s all in one piece. Tony and Peter have a good relationship, Morgan has a good relationship with everyone, and once Pepper returns home I’m positive that her and Peter and her and Tony will sit down and talk about what happened. Yes, for the majority of this story she was a jerk, but character redemption exists. So your saying “the whole family is divided” is honestly just untrue.
3- “no one in the story cares about Peter but Tony and he still did the bare minimum the whole story.” That’s partially true, Tony could have done more. But he’s his father. I am not in any way blaming this on Peter, but he didn’t exactly tell Tony the true extent of what the Potts were saying and doing to him. So no, Tony did not do the “bare minimum”. And the whole “no one cares about Peter”- come on. Read the fic. Morgan: "Yeah, they were mean to Petey. I didn't like it,". A little sister will do anything to defend her big brother. If someone trashed talked my older brother when I was Morgan’s age, I would’ve flipped out and started berating the person, even if it’s my grandparent. Morgan clearly loved her grandparents, so for her to say that, she must CARE A LOT ABOUT PETER.
So yeah. I think I debunked everything you said. The story ended perfectly. It would be great if there was an epilogue where Pepper apologizes to Peter and Tony, and there’s just lots of hugs and cuddles, but you shouldn’t demand that of an author. Think of how hurt you would be if you put tons of effort into your passion, and someone comes along and says. “Thats stupid.” Because you just did that. Just- it’s 2021 man. Get with the times.
All in all this was an amazing fic that ended perfectly.
You literally just insulted the authors writing by saying how the ending was “stupid”. Leaving feedback is fine, however leaving insults of the authors writing is not okay. You probably don’t realize how much words can affect people. The word “stupid” is offensive. If you didn’t like the ending that’s fine. But that doesn’t mean it’s okay to leave offensive words regarding the authors story. I personally think the ending was great.
Do you not realize that when you quote on quote wrote “that ended stupidly” is seen offensive. If you read the end notes you can tell that the author has struggled to get this last chapter out, and how much effort and time they put into this last chapter.
you’re wrong about a lot of things, so i would recommend re-reading the chapter before leaving these kinds of comments. 1) in the beginning of the story, pepper introduced peter as HER child as well. 2) this was not based on me or my life at all, and it’s a bit weird to make those assumptions in the first place. 3) the ending is a callback to the beginning of the story, it implies they’re all going on a family vacation WITHOUT peppers parents being involved. 4) they’re not divided. if i was a parent and my mother was saying horrible things to my adopted child, i wouldn’t want her near any of my kids. yeah, peppers upset that maybe morgan and pete don’t get grandparents, but i think she’s more happy that they’re away from that environment. 5) peter didn’t tell tony anything, that was one of the main points in the whole story. what was he supposed to do?
lastly, you can say you didn’t enjoy the ending without insulting the author in the process. i was struggling with this one, i acknowledged that in the end notes, and you still chose to make the decision to comment something rude. if this is how you give constructive criticism, i would rethink your approach. not only have you offended me, but you’ve probably made others insecure to put out their own work because of this response. i would like all my readers to be respectful not only to me and my work, but to other readers as well. if you can’t be decent, then i would not like to have you as a reader on my page. there are other works you can read on this platform and i would be happy to recommend some.
but you didn’t say that you didn’t like it. you said it was stupid 😵💫 and please stop assuming things about my feelings, personal life, and whatnot. you could’ve apologized and moved on, but it’s clear you’re just a rude person who doesn’t know when to stop. i would appreciate it if you would leave my page <3
Hm. You have some points that are true, props to you for that. I don’t agree on most of those points, but everyone takes things in their own perspective.
Also, I was never “offended”, I was taken aback at your wording, specifically when you called the ending stupid. I can semi understand where you’re coming from after you explained it more, and while I may not agree with it, you are 100% entitled to your own opinion!
One thing though- about how Pepper’s apology wasn’t “implied”… in my perspective it was. Tony literally stated that she was going to come back and “make things right” I believe he said. It’s not his opinion, it’s fact, and that is what she is going to do. That’s how I took that line.
And how Peter and Tony are their own family and Pepper, Morgan and Tony are their own… Morgan called Peter her brother. And what you said about how Tony did feel like that with the whole “peter and Tony going on a vacation”, my take on that was after the whole crapshow they just put themself through, especially peter, I can totally understand how Tony would want a vacation with just him and his son, giving him his full attention. It doesn’t mean he loves Morgan any less, or that he views him as a different family that Morgan, just that one of his children needs that concentrated support at the given moment.
I honestly hated ooc Pepper in this. She totally didn’t view Peter as her own son, especially with the way she prioritized Morgan over him. Gah, it made me so angry, but that was the writers intention.
I will respect your opinion, yes. But don’t think for once that I will respect the way you treat others.
please i’m begging you to stop commenting or i will start deleting them. knowing that you just turned 13 makes everything so much worse. i don’t need a child telling me how to live my adult life or if subjects are “touchy” regarding things that are personal to me. also, speaking your mind and being rude are two completely different things. if there’s another reply i will start deleting them. the real world involves admitting when you’re wrong and apologizing. if i see you on another one of my works i will start deleting those too. please learn how to respect boundaries
