I made a new version of this fic. It's linked as the second fic in the series that includes this prototype as the first.
I'm keeping this fic here as a testament to messy mistakes that lead to doing it right eventually.
The road to success is paved with a whole lot of failure. Rome wasn't built in a day, but they don't tell you about all the buildings that collapsed when they tried rushing it the first few times.
Keep at it. You're allowed to put a task down and revisit it later - it still counts as keeping at it.
