“Everyone calm down,” Pearl took Steven from Amethyst, holding the infant like some sort of…object. She glanced at the gem, ignoring the sobbing filling her ears- too hesitant at the sight of Rose's gem. She swallowed roughly, gesturing with her free hand, “Look! We can all see her. She's right…right there! She just can't reform because she has this…baby around her! Rose, I can let you out…”
She reached for the shimmering gem, hand trembling.
“We'll be…together…again…”
Sobbing turned to pure, genuine screaming as Pearl removed the gem- it sliding out with almost too little resistance in a gem's hold.

Yui desperately wanted a kid. Her husband was unaware of all she did to get pregnant, but now they're planning how to call her baby.

Yui's baby ended up being a girl. Gendo was ecstatic for a while.
But eventualy, he put his priorities on his job, on his dream of getting back to his Yui.
Rei is not ok. A girl grows up differently than a boy. Differences that made Rei make different choices since her birth.I don't see much of cis female Shiji fanfics, so this is much more a self indulgent fic for me to write and be angsty if I need to vent or something.
