The gavel falls. The verdict Not Guilty is read. Matt Engarde is innocent. Free to remain out in the world. The world, which is painfully oblivious of his true crime. Instead, one Adrian Andrews will be tried in court as Shelly de Killer’s client. Phoenix Wright has failed. He has failed the truth, he has failed Maya… he allowed this to happen.
Failing to secure the guilty verdict for Matt Engarde, Phoenix Wright in a panicked struggle tries to figure out what to do next. He knows he could not bear to continue law, even if he tried. Not after this betrayal against an innocent person, against the truth, against the court, against his friends. After everyone’s efforts to put Engarde away, he ultimately fails. So, there is only really one thing he can do in the aftermath of failure as Phoenix goes home, grabs a notebook and some pens and sets out into the large unknown world. However, a certain prosecutor may prove to be too stubborn to allow this to happen…
This fanfiction takes place in the bad ending of Justice for All, in which Phoenix Wright chooses to run away from home and becomes a homeless street artist, following his failure in proving Matt Engarde Guilty.

Miles appeared to be dead. His body was missing, but his car was drenched in blood, too much blood to have been left by a living man. He had been working on the same case as Phoenix, a murder that should have been straightforward but was instead riddled with holes reason couldn't explain away. At least Miles's death made sense- he figured out something he shouldn't have, asked the wrong question in the wrong place, and was killed for it.
But when he shows up at Phoenix's apartment unexpectedly, cheeks sunken and teeth sharp, his memory muddled and his stomach growling for blood, 'sense' quickly loses all meaning. Together they must solve the mysteries surrounding their case, prepare for court, and try not to think too hard about why it feels so damn good when Miles's teeth sink into Phoenix's neck. It's only friends helping out friends, after all.

OOC有，尤其两只Karma会大幅崩坏，连带着御冥亲情向也显得有点疯。尤其Manfred von Karma不是一般的崩且扭曲，存在各种不符合原作的夸张捏造，自行避雷。

She gets her friend to want to eat and breathe again, undergoes exspensive, life-altering surgery she doesn't even really want in order to regain her hearing, enters police academy, develops a workplace rivalry with a Burmese hot-shot interpol agent and is about to graduate top of her class. Things are looking up, until one day, they aren't.
(This is going to be a long one, divided into multiple parts. I'll try to put certain trigger warnings per chapter, but don't be alarmed by all the tags. This is going to be mostly romance and occasional smut with some detective elements and some angst here and there)
