Summary
They say Death has wings, the same is true for his brother, Sleep. While Death’s wings are black as night and soft as silk, Sleep had bright white wings, no longer soft. Sleep loved his wings once; they came in four pairs- one pair behind his ear to help him rest- the others on his back to fly through the night. Sleep use to have eight wings, now he stands with four.
(This is a recreation of the Greek Myth of Hypnos putting Zeus to sleep then incurring the King's wrath. Only in the Myth I'm pretty sure Nyx saved him from Zeus. But if you can guess... that doesn't happen here.)

The Prince of the Underworld, by far, is not a deathless god, yet he simply cannot stay dead. Zagreus had always waited and wondered what it’s like to live. But in his wake, death follows him wherever he goes. A problem of sorts, when he wants nothing more than to escape, even if it means abandoning everything and everyone else, including Thanatos. While Thanatos has to realize, perhaps letting go of his Zagreus, is the only way he will grow into the god that he needs to be.
They reunite after a long time of not seeing each other, after learning of Zagreus trying to escape the Underworld. Something goes wrong with it— Thanatos having to see Zagreus die for the first time— it changes everything from there. After all, it takes just one moment to change everything that’s after.

Hypnos sits down in his usual spot at the cafe, waiting for his coffee order to be called out. A cold day like this is perfect for coffee, even though he was pretty blind to the fact that it was 70° outside. He slumps over in his chair, flapping his lips in boredom, looking around at the basic decor of this place. Brown walls complimented with fake vines and plants hanging on, portraits of the family who owns this establishment lined up across, and he couldn't forget the cheesy clock on the other side. It was loudly ticking all the time, lulling him to sleep easily until an employee would've had to wake him up.
In a way, it was rather annoying to him, but he couldn't complain.
