- He often chats with Hermes on his journeys back to the underworld
- He’s very protective of Than and Hypnos and cares about them deeply. Once, when Hypnos was in deep trouble and his job was on the line, he took it to Hades to talk him out of it himself (Hades begrudgingly accepted :D)
- Once Persephone learned about Zagreus, he started stopping by on his trips to the surface to bring her news of him.
- Charon actually really appreciates the sparring sessions he has with Zagreus. Although the first time he was indeed livid at him stealing his money, after realizing the level of power that the prince held, and the exhilaration of being able to not hold back while fighting, he regularly started to “accidentally” leave a sack of gold around when he was craving a fight
- The large hat is to protect himself from the overworld’s sun. Without it, he gets something like an allergic reaction, prompting rashes on his skin, nausea, and overall, he just does not feel right at all, which makes him return to the underworld by force, a bit like Zagreus when he dies.
