His eyes snapped open. All his senses came rushing back to him at once, a sharp pain in his side, a throbbing ache in his head, the distinct, overwhelming smell of sulfur. He shot upright, immediately scanning his surroundings. He could barely see, squinting to make out the vague shapes around him through the shadows.
They were surrounded by debris, he knew that much. And if there was no light, that must mean they were truly surrounded on all sides.
He coughed, waving dust away from his face, “You alright, Pikachu?”
“Yeah”, Kaminari breathed out on his right, “Uh…mostly.”

Denki doesn't think he’s ever seen a more satisfying sight in his miserable life.
