Harry has a considerably harder time. He keeps knocking against his neighbors (Kim and a stone-faced trucker) with his shoulders and thighs and elbows and knees as he tries to wrestle his way aboard the stool and pull it closer to the counter and fit himself into the narrow space available. Every time he collides with Kim -- the RCM jacket rubbing against Kim's shoulders, the silky caftan pants thrusting against Kim's thigh, even the purple shower shoes kicking Kim's ankle -- Kim feels as if he is being buffeted by a semi-apologetic bear who keeps grumbling uh and sorry and what.

Summary
There was an old barn at the bottom of the hill. When they had been children, their father had used it to store old furniture and broken tools. Diluc and Kaeya had played among its hodge-podge as children: Diluc brandishing a rusty wrench and Kaeya riding a naked broom.
Diluc had cleared out the barn two summers ago. He had thrown away the useless contents, swept away the dust and spider webs, and repainted the flaking exterior. At the time, he had not possessed a conscious reason for doing so. He had no great plans for this barn, but he knew that he no longer wanted to see it useless and unhelpful. His rolled-up shirt sleeves had grown heavy with sweat as he hauled out each forgotten piece of trash. He wanted the place to be ready to serve a purpose, even if that purpose was yet unclear to him.
