Summary
Sgt. Brett Mahoney is a good cop – not just in the sense of being on the right side of the law, but also good at his job. When he first starts noticing how injury prone Matt Murdock is, he doesn’t think much about it. Murdock always has a plausible explanation. Newly minted detective Brett Mahoney is noticing some fairly disquieting things about Matt Murdock. Namely, he's legally bound to one of his old friends, heavily in debt, and sporting different poorly-concealed injuries every other time Brett sees him. He's at least a little concerned. He's not sure if this is made easier or more complicated by the fact that his go-to investigations are the big-ticket ones Daredevil keeps kicking his way.
