Summary
Dazai has everything. A great job (he’d rather not do), a caring boyfriend (who he could live without), a brilliant mind (that’s bored to death). His life should be great. He shouldn’t feel that deep, hollow nothingness rotting him from the inside out, or the soul-aching loneliness that comes as a curse of his ‘gifted mind’. Perhaps that’s what leads to him spilling blood all across the streets of Yokohama, an unchecked terror of the night.

“You used to be so… thorough with me, you know?” Dazai murmured.
The words were placed close to Fyodor’s ear, breath catching. Fyodor could feel the heat of Dazai at his back, the unsteady rise and fall of his chest as he leaned in to speak. Each exhale reached his skin a fraction too warm, then stuttered, pulled back sharp as Dazai fought to keep his voice steady.
“You’d choke me until my vision pulsed. Drag me across the floor. You don’t even get angry anymore.”
The phrasing was clinical in its own way, as if he were listing symptoms, not memories. Fyodor’s mind supplied missing details without his consent: the bruises that had bloomed in finger-shaped pairs, the rasp of Dazai’s voice after, the way he had laughed through it like a creature born without a reflex for self-preservation.
He said nothing.
or: dazai asks to be hurt. fyodor does something crueler. (in which dazai is desperate enough to ask for cruelty outright, and fyodor is monstrous enough to withhold it.)

Summary
Fyodor Dostoevsky is perfect. He is always on time, dressed formally, following rules, top of his class... What's wrong with that?
A lot.. apparently.
Osamu Dazai is, for all intents and purposes, a mess. Barely makes it before the bell, wrinkled clothes, sneaking out to smoke and drink, yet seems to be the only person who can get better grades than Fyodor.
As the adopted son of the famed surgeon Ougai Mori, Dazai is exactly who Fyodor needs to establish relations with--and maybe improve the bandaged guy's habits while he's at it.
What happens when instead of 'improving' Dazai, he just gets dragged down with him?

Animal hybrids have always been popular, but Dazai never planned to adopt one.
He's barely a functional adult, why would he adopt a whole ass person that he has to take care of ?
But when the ADA is sent to help dismantle a trafficking ring, and Dazai meets the eyes of a feral beast, chained to a wall, muzzled and snapping his teeth at them... He's obsessed, struck with some kind of curse. He doesn't even like dogs !
