Summary
Artyom left Pavel at the Red Square, and found himself close to death soon after. In the haze of his recovery, he's left wondering--what became of his enemy? His partner?
Since things came to an abrupt end at D6, Artyom has found himself a new hobby, one he is being ostracized for by the SPARTA Order. Both Miller, and Anna--who he once thought loved him--refuse to support him. Calling him crazy, for hoping that there might be people living out there, on the surface, so he's left to hunt alone.
A chance encounter in a station not too far from home may change everything for Artyom.
<< An AU that starts immediately after the Red Square, and continuing into an alternate take on Metro Exodus--inspiration from the games and the books and my own headcanons. TW for: suicidal ideation, emetophobia, some gore/horror, references to Nazism and Communism >>

Summary
Pavel lives and breathes with forgiveness branded on his soul.
-
(But at the end of the day, Pavel was a soldier. And like every good soldier, he would return back to the frontlines as long as he continued to breathe, as long as red ran through his veins.)
