Shadow Milk was cursed.
So, when some poor soul still dared to approach him, he made sure to drive them off. He said the cruelest things he could think of—sharp words designed to cut deep. He dressed in clothes that would make the local clergy choke, though he hadn’t set foot in a church for years anyway. He took up smoking, because if people wanted a reason to hate him, he’d give them one.
But then he showed up.
Pure Vanilla. The shepherd’s son.
Always the first to arrive at church, and the last to leave. Always helping others. Compassionate. Gentle. Kind to the point of annoyance. His skin was sun-kissed from long days in the fields, and his hair long, golden, and gleaming caught the light like it was spun from summer itself.
He was the kind of person people called good without hesitation. Perfect even.
And for some gods-forsaken, witch-cursed reason, he had made it his personal mission to befriend Shadow Milk.

The Council makes a deal with the fabled God Dream for his assistance in defeating his tyrant God twin, Nightmare. However, Dream will not help them for free; he locks eyes with Cross, and decides he wants him in exchange for the war victory. It's an easy decision, is it not?
There's just one problem with this arrangement: Cross is a spy, sent by Nightmare himself. And Nightmare is absolutely unforgiving of traitors. But he cannot offend Dream, for he too is an Immortal. He cannot forget how dangerous they both are, how any wrong move will end in his demise or worse.
(Cross forgets, however, that he himself is mortal.)

Three years after the defeat of the Kraang, things have gotten relatively peaceful. Yokai and humans were becoming closer and the Mad Dogs were definitely coordinating a lot of those efforts. Leonardo might be a little egotistical to say this, but it was working well.
Until it's not. Suddenly, Mikey is taken right out from underneath them, and the only lead the brothers have to get him back is a rabbit yokai with a strange crest on his clothes.
Leonardo is not about to lose his brother; so he sets out to find this rabbit, and bring his baby brother home.
