Instead, one hour-long dinner has him feeling sixteen again, instincts frayed and exposed. He’d been dangerously close to slicking up from nothing more than eye contact. It’s mortifying.

He drops into his nest with a soft sigh, the baby-soft comforter curling around him, protectively. He stares up at the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling, chest rising and falling slowly.
If he can just avoid Harry, everything will be fine.
It has to be.
Or, the one where Louis comes home for the holidays to his home town of Brickwood, a small mountain town that he left years ago without looking back. His stressful job means no holiday is his own. He has a big presentation to finish and a deadline that he can't miss. But change and his family and the alpha that he was hopelessly in love with before he left threaten to ruin everything for him. But it may not be such a bad thing after all.

His eyes widened when he realized he had just somehow managed to ask Harry to hang out.
Judging by Harry’s own expression, he wasn't the only one who was shocked. Louis expected him to laugh off the ridiculous request but the beta looked up at him, almost hopefully. “Are you being serious?”
“Um,” was all Louis could say, feeling every bit as speechless as Harry had been earlier. “Are you?”
