Crawly snorted a laugh, picking up one of his discarded robes and pushing it towards the angel. “Here, take this.”
Aziraphale took a couple of steps behind until his back rattled the weak hut, eyes widened. “Why would I— what—”
“Relaaax! It’s a robe, it’s not going to bite you!” the demon sneered, shaking his head. “D’you rather stand here all soggy and miserable waiting for Holy Judgement?”

Summary
So it was fine. Even if Crowley couldn’t love him, he clearly liked him well enough, and that was almost the same thing.
It no doubt would have continued to be fine, or at least fine-adjacent, were it not for a narrowly averted apocalypse and several bottles of a really quite nice Riesling Aziraphale had found in the back room of his newly restored bookshop.
