Remember when Hayden Pike punches Ilya after Shane said not to, right before the announcement of the Irina Foundation? Remember that that was the second time Hayden laid his hands on Ilya in the first month of knowing him?
Or, Shane gets rightfully fed up after the first month of Hayden's behavior towards Ilya. Punching Ilya was the final straw, so he tells Hayden to pretend he never found out. It sets off a chain of events landing him, happily, in Ottawa a year earlier and with a better support system for both him and Ilya.

Summary
Once the glow of the cottage fades and the boys have to head back to the real world, they have to start the long difficult year being separated before Ilya signs with Ottawa. Or at least that was the plan, until Ilya opened his mouth and accidentally got himself traded to Montreal. But it’s fine, just one year for Ilya in Montreal and then their 10 year plan is back on track… Right?
Through their year on the same team, Ilya helps Shane come to terms with the fact that his team kinda sucks, Hayden gets chirped into oblivion but still realizes that maybe Ilya Rozanov isn’t nearly as bad of a guy as he thought, and Hollanov come to terms with a new question they didn’t expect to ask.
Now that they’ve gotten a taste of living together and being on the same team, how are they ever going to give it up?

Summary
There’s what feels like a million alpha scents oozing out from the cracks of the ornate double doors he’s paused in front of. Logically he knows it’s just a hundred. A hundred alphas and their beta chaperones. A hundred alphas carefully vetted by his mom even though omega matching balls are sixty years out of date. They’d whipped this one up special, just for him.
Because he’s Shane Hollander.
He’s got two Stanley Cups and he’s the face of so many different brands that had wanted to show they were all about the ‘modern omega’. Shane sure as fucking hell hadn’t felt like a modern omega when Crowell had unearthed an archaic rule from the depths of the league handbooks.
Omegas must be mated by the age of 25 to be eligible to continue to play.
