Summary
Rose is nominated for an Academy Award and invites Shane as her date. As luck would have it, the Centaurs are playing in Los Angeles over Oscars weekend and Shane can actually make it. He just has to survive an overly supportive husband, a hockey game, and daring to dress like he's never dressed before. It can't be that hard, right?
OR: Rose may be the reason for the extravagant weekend, but Ilya Rozanov is down bad for his pretty husband and Shane Hollander has a praise kink.
This takes place after The Long Game and they are a couple publicly. Rose and Ilya are friends, themes of friendship between Shane/Rose and Ilya/Rose throughout.

"Public displays of affection in the workplace?!" Boodram's thick, booming voice echoed from the entrance. The couple laughed, pulling apart only slightly. "Shameless, Hollander. I expected more discretion from a guy as proper as you."
"Back off, Bood. It's gay month. We have priority now," Ilya retorted, sticking his tongue out at the second alternate captain with the maturity of a child.
"You're bi," Shane pointed out with a laugh, rolling his brown eyes and adjusting the backpack strap on his shoulder.
Behind Boodram, the rest of the team began to appear. Troy was wearing the Centaurs' official Pride Night hoodie, while Harris paraded around in his classic denim jacket covered in queer pins—and, this time, completed the look with a vibrant cap that screamed 'Move, I’m gay' in colorful letters. Soon after, Wyatt emerged in the hallway wearing a t-shirt that read: 'I support gay rights & wrongs'.
"Where the hell did you find that shirt, Hazy?" Shane asked, curious.
"He has one of those t-shirt printing machines at home," Troy, Bood, Harris, and Ilya answered in unison. Wyatt flashed a proud smile right after.

Breath seizing, Ilya hovers over the call button and presses on Shane’s name. Fidgeting in front of his locker, he puts the phone to his ear and listens to the ringing. And ringing. And ringing.
He really doesn’t like this at all.
The call goes to voicemail. It cuts right through the bone, to his soft center, where it hurts most.
Clenching his molars, Ilya hangs up and searches for Yuna’s name on his contact list. If any of the guys try to talk, he doesn’t hear them, doesn’t hear anything but the sound of his reeling thoughts.
Pressing Yuna’s name, he brings the phone to his ear again. She picks up on the second ring.
“Hey,” Yuna sounds surprised, “what’s up, hon?”
Loosening his jaw, chest panging, Ilya asks, “hey, have you heard from Shane since game ended?”
“Uh,” Yuna’s phone switches ears, “no, why?”
Fuck.
“Can you check on him?” Ilya tacks on a “please” that comes out desperate.
A beat of concern passes. “Yeah,” Yuna says, drawing out the word, “can drive over right now. Has he not told you about,” her pause is purposeful, and Ilya knows what it means, “yet?”
“No,” Ilya says, sick to his core, “I have bad feeling.”
