There is a doubt in her eyes at this statement that fills him with dread, but all together he is not too concerned. You can’t just not agree to getting a divorce—that’s not what people do. Maybe some people, at first, if they’re in denial, but after seven years apart? Absolutely not. Because that would be insane.

A crash. Then quick foot steps down the stairs. A man similar to the ones from her home, but quite pretty. Curly brown hair, blue eyes. Dressed in a white undershirt and trousers. He had stopped in front of her monster, giving a slight bow. There were a few bite marks scattered on him. She kind of wanted to add some more.
“You’re back,” he’d said.
Then he saw her, staring at him. He backed away slightly, behind her monster. Oh. Her fangs were out. She must have looked like she was about to devour him whole.
Or Thomas and Ellen meet in a much different way than in canon.
