Jeremy’s mouth goes dry, and his thoughts stutter to a stop in the face of Jean being shameless with his want. They’d felt this relationship out in gentle kisses and displays of affection, tumbling into bed only when they both were ready, and this aspect of it was all new. The newness of it terrifies him, the idea that Jean’s want could rival his own, drags all of the fondness into his throat and makes it hard to speak around it. It’s just… so much, this desire, desire that transformed itself into love in the dead of night when Jeremy smoothed Jean’s curls away from his head and listened to the soft sound of his breath.

“Your glass,” a server jerked Caitlyn back from her thoughts and she glanced at them to nod her thanks and freezes. “Caitlyn?”
Her eyes were wide as she swallowed, recognition slipping icy fingers into her veins, “Vi?” The pink haired barista that she sees every morning, Monday through Friday is holding her ordered frozen glass. What the fuck was Vi doing here?
She’s dressed in all black, button-up tight with a couple of buttons undone to let Caitlyn see just a peek of a binder, all her winding tattoos, and somehow her pants are even tighter. There’s no apron, no low ponytail that Vi typically has at the cafe and good gods, the eyeliner she’s got on makes her grey eyes suck Caitlyn’s breath away.
Vi’s cafe was the nearest half decent cup of coffee from her law firm and Caitlyn was nothing if not a diligent customer, meeting and becoming enamored by her easy charm within her first week of being an intern. Personally, Caitlyn’s caffeine intake had done nothing but double (or triple) since working and it had nothing to do with her little crush.
