It had been a month since the finalization of the divorce, causing Lucifer to lose everything worth fighting for. He didn't know how but he had found himself standing in front of the petting zoo he always went to with his daughter, Charlie. Perhaps he was drawn there to relive the cherished memories, he held dear, of happier times. However, it became painfully clear how much had changed since his last visit.
Overwhelmed by these changes and the harsh truth that life seemed to conspire against him, Lucifer broke down on a bench surounded by his beloved ducks by the duck pond. Even his wish to be left alone while being in agony, is something that's not granted as the deer caretaker approches him.
Lucifer never would have imagined that this encounter with the brunet caretaker, who had left such a poor first impression, would change his life for the better.
