Oh my fucking god this is so good. I had to BM Jason's installment separately as well because Tim's is really good but Jason's is REALLY good. I need Jason to be better so these two idiots can be friends like they both want to be deep down (or not so deep down in Tim's case). Unbelievably good writing, incredible atmosphere, and very human characters. Worth a billion re-reads.

OH MY GOD. Wow. Simultaneously one of the most insanely riveting and horrifically frustrating reads of my life. The writing in this is so so good—I genuinely don't even know how this author has created this. Jason feels so real, and that has me incredibly invested in him but has created a perpetual urge to grab him by his shoulders and shake him violently until he is better and all of his problems are solved. I understand and appreciate and want the best for this guy so bad that it's making me mad at him. This fucking rocks, man.

Summary
An AU where Tim was imprisoned by Black Mask for most of his adolescence, trained to be his successor. His reintroduction to Gotham - and to Gotham's vigilantes - could go a little smoother. At least enough of his morality sticks around that he can probably consider himself safe from being a supervillain.
Though he isn't quite sure he qualifies for "superhero," either.

God, what a cool hypothetical!!! I've enjoyed reading this project immensely, and although it ends off ambiguously, that just leaves room for the imagination :) I like to think that Jason eventually wins Tim's trust, but, even if he doesn't, him doing something for Tim out of the goodness of his heart really, really meant something.

OHH MY GOD. The highs. The lows. The WHIPLASH OF NOT-SO-COLD-BLOODED BETRAYAL. I love this series. I love this author. Fuckkk I'm still reeling from the punch!!
"'I can’t leave him,' Tim repeats furtively. 'He’s my dad.'
Hood lets out a short breath, the soft exhale of coming down from a fight. His shoulders come down. He folds his hands together and leans his head on them.
'Kid,' he says tightly, and nothing else. He lifts one of his hands to cover the better part of his domino. Tim catches the glimpse of another smile-not-smile. 'Your dad. Is the luckiest bastard in the world. And you should know. That.' He pauses with a deep inhale, hand tightening around his eyes. 'He’s not the only one that loves you.'"
You can't say that, Jason. You can't DO that. I got emotionally manipulated and I'M THE READER. He's KILLED me. I need Jason to fix the STUPID shit he started. I spent 120k words loving this version of him—I really, really don't want to stop.
This series is all around just insanely good. I laughed so much reading this. Tim and Steph especially are so, so good. They're such stupid teenagers, and I love them for it. All of the characters are so goddamn alive. I'm so excited to see what happens next!

Sooo so good. So far I am 2 for 2 on insanely good fics of Tim time traveling to the past and adopting street children. He is such a well-meaning parental figure. Sadly, he is fucked up and makes mistakes regardless of how hard he tries. Such are the woes of the spontaneous single father/older brother. All of the kids in this are so so cute. I can't wait to see what's up with Ace and Deuce!

Yes yes yes!!! This is just incredible. God, the characterization is phenomenal. There were several moments where often-misrepresented canon details about Kon or Tim were focused on that I was like "Yes!! That's Him!!" and it was the best feeling ever. But, aside from that, I enjoyed every sentence of this! The action, the comedy, the intimacy—it's all just so nice. Even if they had to stumble their way to the end, they still got there (with only relatively minor emotional damage), and that's what counts.
