Summary
The year is 565, of the Old Imperial Era.
War is upon your nation.
King Alaric "Spitfire" d'al Rendower, reigning monarch of the young Unified Kingdom of Tierra, has declared an end to the onerous tribute northern duchies owe to the League of Antar, the domineering power on the Calligian continent across the sea.
He calls upon the Lady and Gentlemen Officers of the Royal Navy and Army, to see to Tierra's defense. The duty before them is no easy one. Antar possesses more ships and of greater tonnage than their impoverished heap of rocks could hope to match. But they are not without advantage.
They possess the blood of command, a crew of the commons knowing they fight for their liberty, and the sound guidance of a nation wrought not through violent subjection, but trade and marriage too.
Will Tierra survive these years of tumult and strife? Will the King’s spirited leadership see victory in the end? Or shall his newly founded Kingdom be dashed upon the rocks, subject to hostile tides within and without? These officers know not, only of their orders from Admiralty House, and from the King himself.
