[Alison Hammond appears now, “crying” into a gingham cloth as Paul Hollywood follows her, ringing a loud bell. They pass Alex, paying him no mind.]
“I didn’t mean to, Paul! I swear!” Alison cries as she wipes beneath her eyes.
“Shame!” Paul replies, ringing the bell once more.
[Prue Leith follows behind Paul, shaking her head slowly. Alex stops her and nods in their direction.]
“What did she do?” Alex asks in a stage whisper.
“She called a macaroon a macaron,” Prue says back.
[Prue follows Alison and Paul off the screen, leaving Alex looking after them, terror on his face. He turns to face the camera and swallows loudly before giving a grin that’s more of a grimace.]
“W-welcome to the Great British B-baking Show,” he greets before bringing the phone back up to his ear. “Noel, you have to come back. I’m not going to make it.”

Summary
Carlos is certainly aware of TK Strand. He wasn’t aware the man had cycled through quite this many teams before being traded to the Dallas Stars. His reputation as a hot-head and a trouble-maker precedes him, but there are dozens of players like that in this league. Carlos has never considered Strand to be significantly worse than any of the rest of them, but maybe he just wasn’t paying close enough attention. The person described in the article he just read doesn’t exactly sound like someone Carlos should be thrilled about having as a new teammate.

Three weeks before Henry Fox's tour for his fourth, highly anticipated, awards-bait novel A Brief War in December begins, his publicist Janella breaks her foot on a bunny slope at Windham.
Alex can't be mad at her, even though he kind of is. Saying it out loud would be like kicking her when she was down, and she already went down a literal mountain in the worst way possible.
Now crammed in Rafael Luna's corner office, Janella is shooting Alex extremely apologetic looks while slumped on her crutches, wearing a bright orange cast. The conversation about who is going to be joining Henry Fox on his multi-city trek across the U.S. is also going downhill. Alex is feeling the same sort of free fall while standing still.
Because out of all the publicists available in their tiny underfunded department, the only one left to escort their company's best-selling author is regrettably him.
The problem is, well, Alex absolutely hates Henry Fox.
Or: Alex is the publicist for Mountchristen Publishers, and is stuck on a two-week tour with their best-selling, but frustrating, author Henry Fox.

As most things are, this is Chris Chow’s fault.
He doesn’t look like an instigator for trouble, with his perpetually cheerful smile and the way he tends to drop everything so that he can try and solve problems. Even Islanders fans wouldn’t call him a troublemaker, with his reputation for waving at babies and sitting with his legs swinging on top of his goal. Only those who know him personally can see it, the sly smile when a plan starts to come together, that look of faux innocence when he sarcastically tells you he has no idea what you’re talking about.
William Poindexter is currently mowing the grass shirtless, sweat dripping down his back, and it’s all Chris Chow’s fault.

Never said anything though… he was just too… pretty.”Looking back, Dex wishes he had paid a little more attention, maybe asked his sister how she moved on from Mark Wright and met the man she would go on to marry and have a brood of beautiful little kids with. He could really, really use the advice. Because Derek Nurse just walked in, holding hands with some guy. And they’ve both got silver bands on their left hands.
