Summary
Buck was on the bathroom floor, body shaking, a bottle of pills white-knuckled in his hand. He could see the doctor’s judgemental face, could hear the way he spoke to Buck, like he was some drug addict. Like the pills weren’t originally supposed to help him.
But the meds didn’t fix him. They just made it worse. They made him worse.

Summary
With the way that everyone in the store was watching them you’d think that they were in one of those telenovelas that Eddie liked to watch when they were finished a shift as a wined down that he liked to blame Chris for. Buck turned away from Eddie, done with this. He just wanted to make a chilli so he could feel some sense of normality. Not participate in whatever this was.
Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a cat laxative with a goofy cartoon cat on the front. He should get a cat, might be the only thing that never leaves him.
“God, you're exhausting." he heard Eddie say behind him, to him.

Summary
“Can we call someone for you?” the man asked. “A friend, a spouse?”
Buck thought of Eddie. Hen. Chimney. Bobby. He thought of them all out to dinner together at this very moment while he bled in an alley. He thought of the silence, the coldness, the looks he’d been getting from them since getting back to work.
He wouldn't have hesitated for a second to call Eddie just a few months ago.
He swallowed hard, looking back up. “No. There’s no one to call. Thanks.”
“Are you sure? You’re bleeding,” the woman pointed at her own lip, as if Buck was unaware he was bleeding from his.
“Yeah. I’m sure.”
OR: Buck is on the outs with his team after dropping the lawsuit and coming back to work. A night out with a couple guys from B-shift changes everything.
