To be honest, Law understood the severity of the damage the second he pulled his hand back and Luffy did not move, his gaze lost on the cabin window and his eyes fixed on a nonexistent point in the ocean surrounding them. There was only one logical explanation for that suffocating silence, only one reason the boy who once illuminated the seas now looked like an empty shell.
"Torao..." Luffy whispered, breaking the stillness of the night without looking at him. "Is the sky still blue?"
"Yes," Law replied, forcing himself to keep his voice steady as he intertwined those trembling fingers with his own. "It's still blue."

Summary
Located in a world divided into five houses, where summer can last for years but winter an eternity, and where the magic of the ancient religion is forbidden, there was a war known as "The Magic War," in which King Uther massacred the Emrys family, exiling them from the Iron Throne and proclaiming himself as the sole King of Camelot. Fifteen years later, when King Uther mysteriously dies and his son takes the throne, the world seems to be in chaos.
Caerleon, the land of the north, is protected by a giant wall of ice to separate the five houses from the dark forces that dare to be in the Pale Forest, in order to preserve peace.

And sooner or later, he finds himself picturing and writing about wanting a future with Merlin - a future where Merlin agrees with run off with Arthur to a small, remote village.
He's got it all written out - Arthur would feed the chickens and Merlin would pluck the berries they planted. They'd grow carrots and wheat and maybe even keep bees. They'd lean on each other and kiss as the sun sets.
Arthur would love Merlin, and Merlin would love him back.

His sister is avoiding him, the people are rude, and for some reason everyone keeps doubting his claims of being Morgana's brother. Meanwhile, first year student Merlin is having a great time hanging out with his best friend Morgana, and has no issue when people confuse them as brother and sister. It's not like her real brother goes to school there too, everything will be fine!
