“Running away,” she said blithely, plopping down next to him as he returned to the task at hand. “How’s a ‘gator food?”
“Your mother never made you Seafood Gumbo?” he asked, yanking out the rest of the intestines. They could feed the bayou for all he cared, he didn't need them. The girl didn’t even gag.
“Not with ‘gator.”
“Bully for you,” he muttered, deciding that there was little else he would get out of this.
“You never gave me your name,” the girl stated in a demanding tone. He eyed her warily.
“You never told me why you were running away,” he pointed out.

“What don’t you know, love?” Karma asks from the kitchen, the smell of tempura udon fills their house. The blunette makes his way into the kitchen, where Karma picks him up and places him onto the counter beside the oven, pressing a kiss to his lips with the movement before resuming the cooking.
Nagisa sighs again, “We got a new boy last week and he’s got longer hair and is quieter. He and one of my other students have been getting along well and they’ve become friends quickly.” The blunette moves his hands around for a couple seconds as if failing to find the right words to explain, “Some of the other students have been making fun of them, calling them gay, treating them like scum because of their appearance and their friendship.”

The collar rested heavy against Patrick’s neck, and he knew Pete could see it. His breathing picked up, and he almost dropped to his knees and begged for Pete not to hurt him.
