She didn't particularly like or dislike the games, but there were things she'd much rather do.
Since her parents are considered monsters, she was automatically branded as a player.
Not that it wasn't true- Her parents have been placing Go stones and Shogi tiles in Laki's hands since she could breathe-
Instead, the fault of the court lies in assuming Go and Shogi were Laki's only skills.
Laki took mere days upon returning to the court after a forceful leave of absence to turn it on its shoulders.
Having her father's and mother's intelligence yet not their laze, the courts, inner and outer found new appreciation for her family's slacking.
Eventually, something shiny catches her attention in the rear palace, and much like most things that catch her interest, there's something to uncover. As she buries herself among cases, she finds something out she would've preferred not knowing.
