It’s cheesy, it’s unoriginal and it might just be the best mistake the universe ever made.

In this Alternative story, Telltale and the TV Series have come together to form into one story.
Shane Walsh with Rick's family, Kenny and his family, Lee Evertt and Clementine and a few others have gathered together to make it through the apocalypse, to support one another.Lee is grappling with what he did in his past, feeling alone in the world he seeks the group. To Lee the apocalypse was a ticket to his freedom and having another chance to do what is right. So, he takes up being Clementine's caretaker, not realizing how much responsibility is really on his shoulders.
Shane wrestles with his grief while trying to be the man Lori needs him to be, things are made all the more complicated by his slowly awakening feelings for Glenn's arrival. Not knowing what he wants, what is the right decision. Shane is trying not to buckle under the pressure of being the leader, taking care of Lori and Carl while dealing with his guilt.
Meanwhile Rick, the man Lori once depended on, and the man Shane thought was dead, his best friend. Rick awakens with a deep breath of air that he never realized felt so wrong. But even though he has just awoken, his first priority is getting back to his family.

It has been Two Years since the Defeat of the Resistance and the Fall of McCarroll Ranch. The last pillars of hope have wholly collapsed in on themselves and have been replaced with Desperate Cynicism and Depression. Despite the relative pockets of Paradise and Safety within places like Sunnycove, the State of Virginia is in Free Fall.
All the progress that has been made has not only stagnated but begun to decay. Within the Ruins and the Rust, a New Hope will have to rise. For the Apocalypse is still raging, and every second is precious.
The Fate of Many hangs in the Balance, but to spark the new flame, first an old face will have to return to America. Otherwise, Deputy Carl Grimes will be fighting alone, in the World of The Walking Dead, where the odds only ever climb against his solitary gun and orange-wrapped blade.

All things must die at some point; flowers wilt, stars burn out, and people succumb to the passage of time. It is just a fact of life. Dread, feared, welcomed, or wanted, death is the inescapable end for us all. To live with pain is to love, or suffering is to hope; an opposite, a consequence. We cannot truly outrun death; we can only prolong our life, be it by hours, days, weeks, months, or even years; eventually we shall die. Whether or not death is the end of existing is a matter of debate and deliberation. People have long since agreed that death is permanent; it isn't something people come back from, with the few cases due to modern medical interference. Death is death, and the dead are dead—that was the known truth.
At least it was until the dead became something else, something monstrous, something terrible. Death was still death, but the dead were not dead. They started coming back; bodies without heartbeats stood up again; they walked again. The dead became the stuff of nightmares, the greatest enemy to the living. Death was death and was accepted, but the dead were something different and they were to be feared.

He's a good kid who sends a quarter of his paycheck to his (obscenely large) family every Friday, pays his taxes, goes hiking with his younger siblings every other weekend, adopts stray cats...
He lives a normal life.
But, Jesus fuck, this was not right.
A complete rewrite of the Walking Dead TV Series with elements from the Telltale Video Games, the Webisodes, and the Comics. Not canon compliant in the slightest. Characters will be OOC as I can't stick to a script for the life of me. Character ages will not comply with the TV series, Comic Series, or the Telltale Games due to an adapted timeline.
This is not an abandoned. I am rewriting everything alongside one of my other stories. I am a horrifically slow writer.

Who would give her dry flowers?
No one sat in that empty space by her feet, waiting with bated breath for Beth to wake up – no Maggie tightly clutching her mama’s hand, no Shawn with his sturdy gaze and teasing quips about how awful she probably looked, no Daddy reading his bible as he sat vigil by her side, no Daryl restlessly pacing the room while he tore apart his cuticles with his teeth. Beth could picture them all, exactly as they should be, and it was so real she almost believed it. But she blinked, and they were gone again. No one was here with her.
She shifted her eyes back to the man, and noticed that he had flowers as well. Pink flowers in an ugly blue and white vase.
They were dried up too.
Beth wakes up in an empty hospital next to a man she doesn't know, with an injury she can't remember, and no family to greet her. The world seems to have burned down around them, but she and this man - this Rick Grimes, are determined to get the hell out of dodge, and hopefully get back to their families in one piece.
