    You could have Will and Hannibal not meeting for a few years and then they run into each other at a thing and Will is with Chilly, but no one remembers him - Will gave him a new name etc - and Hannibal is so intruiged by it all they start visiting again.Will lets him pet his pet even.

      "Will lets him pet his pet even.", what good friends they can be! As for the naming, Will does that when he picks up a new stray, plus bath and acclimation to the household...

      Will Graham is an animal lover, he has a whole pack of dogs in his living room plus a smol bunny he keeps upstairs. He takes his dogs on runs everyday and he brings back little treats for his bunny. He likes to wake his bunny with tickles and kisses.

      If instead of showing up at Will's door asking to borrow his shower, CHilton crashed his car and ends up scared and non-verbal.

        Hannibal will be so impressed with how well Bunny is acclimated to his new life. He obeys all the orders, tries not to tremble too much when Hannibal pets him... He's a good bunny indeed.

          I picture Hanni finding Chilton at Will's house when he starts stalking Will again, he's watching from the top of the stairs and doesn't say anything when Hanni talks at him, just goes and hide under the blanket and shakes, Hanni is intrigued and Will comes home to find Haannibal petting HIS bunny.

              I think Chllifu would have a bunny hutch if he was staying with Hannibal and Will, and his own cute little outfits too, but Will is so minimalist that Chillyfu just sleeps in his bed and wears his shirts. It starts with him not wanting to turn non-verbal Chilton over to Jack, then even after Chilton's name is clear, Will likes non-verban Chilton's company so much that he just continues to hide Chilton at his place as his secret snugglebunny even though he had some idea it's probably a fucked up thing to do -- Hanni is super entertained as he figures out what happened to Chilly and what Will has been doing.

                    I bet both Raf and Chillyfu run super warm. Raf is always cold, but feels like a warm water bottle when you snuggle him. When Sonny's cold, he just wraps himself around Raf, ignores all the bitching about cold hands and pins him down to warm up.

                                  chillyhannigram is probably way more chill compared to barisi...I think the book mention that Chilton became a psychologist because of his parents (to figure out what's wrong with them), but it sound like benign neglect rather than the rollercoaster Rafael went through. Sonny has to practically fight Barba at times in the care and feeding of his bunny (racoon? hare?), while Chilton just goes with what Hannibal and Will does with him.
