Yes I definitely agree with you! This is why I actually decided to make a fic about Damian! I'm so tired of fics that are too shallow about Damian's approach—most of them only talk about his violent behaviour, and not his traumatic past which cause his wary and snarky behaviour as a child.
And yep! Even though Talia is nowhere near to be the good mom, Damian still loves her no matter what—he's his mother's son!
