      I'd say yes, honestly. With no one to manage Mettaton's body, he'd break down and die. Napstablook died because he was in the Ruins during the pandemic, and Flowey? Well, I think Flowey could've died too. Like I said, that was a plot hole that I didn't address and I apologize for that.
