This story made me cry while I was writing it. It is so damn unfair that she died. I don't know why I like her so much, I think it's a lot to do with her being ready to go into the unknown with her man - she must have really loved him and believed in him - and that she thought they could keep their little girl safe... They weren't about revenge so much as finding a new life, pioneers if you like, and when it became incredibly dark and dangerous there was still the love and being together.
The Professor has occasionally made me really angry, and this is one of those times.
(I thought of you and the 'slice of life' thing while I was writing it, yes. Whatever 😏)
