    didn't beatrice said that in one of the new side stories that Satella was the greatest yin mage i mean, altough she only speculated. only powers we saw Satella use are shadow hands which are yin magic. time stop which is also yin magic considering Beatrice could according to Rosswall slow down time with yin magic for 2 seconds or something. and at the end of arc 6 Satella was gonna use version of shamack that was gonna transport Subaru somewhere we don't know. all of this was done by her yin magic not her witch factor/authority. and this are things that beatrice: daughter of witch of greed and 400 years old great spirit can't do. you are telling me she didn't teach him enough to be more powerfull than Elsa of all people. not that Elsa is weak or anything but in this fic Subaru a spirit who is more than 400 years old is so weak and inexperienced that he could not sense Elsas attack coming. sorry for my rant and i apolagize if i was rude.

      This is kind of hard to talk about without spoilers for the future plot but I'll try my best.

      You are right to assume that Subaru is stronger than Puck and Beatrice. Though, you also have to remember that while Puck and Beatrice were created delicately by The Witch of Greed, Subaru was created crudely through pure diligence. Of course, I'm really challenging the lore here because we don't have enough information here, but this is this is the logic that I'm going by.

      He didn't start out strong.

      Plus, in this interaction, Elsa caught Subaru from behind while he was in a state of shock. It wouldn't matter if you had a whole arsenal of weapons. If someone came behind you suddenly and stabbed you with a knife, you would be done for.

      Though, I will say that Subaru is indeed slightly stronger than both Beatrice and Puck (contract) but definitely weaker than the Beast of The End.

      Its the same way Beatrice was killed once. Spirits dont seem to be very strong in terms of how much damage they can tank (though this might be size dependent).
