[teach me your ways :0] my ways: finding the emotional aspects of a scene that resonate the most to me and then twisting everything just a bit so that it fits that character's situation more closely, then emoting all my bad middle and high school times all over the page. It's really, really great to see how many sympathize when a lot of it is based on something that his really close to home for me

[you're already starting this with an absolute gut-punch and i couldn't be more thrilled. it really sets the tone for the rest of the chapter.] The other fun part is that I took that emotional gut-punch and made plans to fix all of that because this is my story where I look DC right in the eyes and shove canon off the table like an angry cat

[i don't usually physically respond to things when i read (aside from sympathy pains) but i did gasp at this. it's safe to say i'm already in love with this story.] Thank you!! It's so good to know which parts hit hard, and something about the difference in someone prepared for a fight with weapons and armor and a full-head helmet against someone that was relaxed and has no protection hits so hard

[OH MY HEART. MY LITTLE HEART IS HURTING. previously mentioned sympathy pains are happening. i am SUCH an angst goblin, but i can't help it when people like you write the most wonderfully devastating things] "Angst goblin" is delightful, I love that. It's so much fun to emotionally devastate people and do the psychic gut punch but then to rub their shoulders and tuck a nice blanket around them and make sure they have a nice drink and everything's better. Hurt/comfort! (Sympathy pains for stories are wild, it's really cool when that happens)

Dick is such a good big brother and if this wasn't such a Jason and Tim and Stephanie story I'd have more from him. He's splitting his time with Bludhaven during this story
