    - I started highlighting lines that I loved on my kindle and basically highlighted the entire thing??? - this is the dream I can't believe I'm hearing this about my??? fic??? gosh I'm so flattered <3
    - I always feel like worldbuilding is not my strongest suit so hearing that it felt vivid is such a huge compliment
    - his desire for *something else* and his ABILITY TO DREAM! - Lan Zhan! Yes!!! This was a really fun thought experiment, wondering which aspects of his personality would be more felt if he did get a chance to grow up with his mother and have that kind of progressive, individuality-oriented influence, and it's exactly this, I think he would've allowed himself to want more for himself.

    - I love that planetarium scene. LOVE. I'm so happy it's become a favorite of yours, I'm quite proud of it.
    - Your fics always send such a strong message about the state of world, and this one in particular just lit up my brain with the concept of *all* the sadness and pain that is out there - this just means so much to me. I write for fun, because I enjoy it, because it's often therapeutic, and these themes sneak into my writing because I feel them deeply and care about them a lot. And whenever that's reflected back at me in a comment, it's just, the best feeling, having this kind of connection over something that in a way is very personal. Thank you so much for saying this <3
