    I admit that in my mind Mama Lan and lxc are still out there, somewhere, being a part of another story that I will probably never write, because I like the way it's left hanging now. One of the things I love about wangxian is that while they do get a happy ending in canon, it is a bitter-sweet one, there's also a lot of loss and many sacrifices, so I love mirroring that somehow in what I write. They are together because they choose to be, despite what it might cost them, which I find so powerful.
