Nervousness.
It’s all what Fluixon de Aculon felt.
There was only 5 minutes left until his public ceremony of becoming Luminara’s president started. 3BelowZero had entrusted him with this role, after stepping down due to his health. Truth be told, Flux enjoyed being Vice President, but a President? He didn’t know if he would be the right person to do so. Some of his political views of the alliance with Yggdrasil were far from what 3Below had. But if 3Below and the citizens of Luminara have entrusted him with the role, then he’d gladly accept.
Saps on the other hand, had noticed. Obviously he would notice, with Flux saying "Oh god how could this happen.." under his breath while his hands trembled as his eyes looked over the scene.. He’d always notice. His constant mumbling. His hands fidgeting. Him constantly walking back and forth. He’s his beloved fiancé after all. They’ve been engaged for a while now, ever since the borders between Pandora and Yggdrasil dropped. He couldn’t ask for a better partner, they’ve known each other since they were kids after all. They’ve had feelings for one another ever since middle school, and started dating in high school. Flux was the first to fall. Saps fell harder
Saps was staring. God, he was staring so much. He couldn't help it when his beloved fiancé was this gorgeous. He didn’t realize that until Flux looked at him. He blushed a bit before smiling at Flux
“You’re mumbling again.”
“Hm, really? I couldn’t tell.”
That made Saps giggle. God, that smile on his face made Flux’s heart flutter, resulting in him smiling and laughing as well.
“Whatever you’re thinking about right now, I know you’re nervous, but we all believe in you, love.”
Flux had a slightly shocked look on his face and then he smiled.
“Thank you, darling. I won’t disappoint, I promise.”
Saps smiled back.
“Good luck, my love.”

It was time.
The crowd was gathered at the Luminara bridge. The bridge was extended all the way to Elysium, a form of peace and unity between the islands. Everyone was excited for the ceremony. 3Below was standing on the stairs of the bridge, overlooking the crowd of Luminara mixed with people from Tricolor, Cass Coalition, and Aperion. Flux was standing on the side of the bridge, still nervous, but less. Saps, of course, was there too. Standing next to Flux, constantly reassuring him he would do just fine. He wouldn’t miss it for the world. 3Below watched as the clock struck 12, and he began his opening speech.
“Ladies and gentlemen, citizens of Luminara and other nations. A few years ago, we founded Luminara on this very land blessed upon us with the sole purpose of uniting nations, achieving peace in our lands, and of course, being the light of the island. Now, we are gathered here today to officially and properly crown our new President of Luminara. Now my retirement may seem sudden, but I assure you it would be the best for all of us. Our new President has been in my council ever since the very beginning of the founding of Luminara. He had stayed for every single situation in Luminara, whether it was from internal alliance between nations of Pandora to external alliance with Yggdrasil, and I can’t be more happy to have Fluixon take on my role as the new President of Luminara.”
3Below then went silent and looked at Flux, his face filled with gratitude and appreciation.
“Flux, would you please come on forward and kneel in front of me, and put your right hand on the left side of your chest.”
Flux let out a deep breath slowly walking up the stairs of the bridge, stopping right in front of 3BelowZero, bowing then kneeling down on one knee, right hand on his chest.
“Repeat as I say.”
Flux nodded.
“I, Fluixon de Aculon.”
“I, Fluixon de Aculon.” Flux repeated.
“Promise to protect this land.”
“Promise to protect this land.”
“To continue uniting all nations.”
“To continue uniting all nations.”
“To create peace.”
“To create peace.”
“To take consequences of my actions.”
“To take consequences of my actions.”
“And to lead us into the light.”
“And to lead us into the light.”
3BelowZero smiled and lowered the Crown of Luminara off of his head and lowered it to Flux’s head. He brought out the knighting sword and tapped it from Flux’s right to left shoulder while saying
“I, 3BelowZero, Former President of Luminara, hereby declare, Fluixon de Aculon, as the newly crowned President of Luminara. May this moment be the founding of light in the future.”
As 3BelowZero finishes his speech, the crowd erupted in excitement. Everyone cheered, in full support of Flux. Saps stood on the side, the yearning look in his eyes as to how proud he was of Flux. Flux stood up and was met with a "Congratulations" from 3BelowZero as he shook his hand. He looked at Saps, who was looking at him with a proud look on his face. He smiled back at Saps and mouthed “I did it.” Saps smiled even more and mouthed back, “You sure did, love.”

After the ceremony, the crowd disappeared and went back to their normal activity.
Flux, with his newly achieved title, was strolling around Luminara with Saps, who was holding his hand.
“So.. should I like, call you sir president now?” Saps joked, laughing at himself
Flux just laughed along
“You know you can just call me darling, right?” He winked.
Saps laughed at that, slightly blushing.
“And I’m the only one that can call you that.”
They continued walking along, being greeted by citizens from time to time.
“Flux!!” a voice called out.
Saps and Flux looked behind them to see someone running towards them.
“Oh, Saps is here too!”
It was Legacy.
“I came by to congratulate you for your title, Flux. You really deserved it! My parrot here says so as well”
“Thank you, Legacy. I appreciate it.”
“Of course! Good luck Flux! You too Saps! May you be the best mediator to ever exist.”
Legacy left the two alone, said he had so many things coming up, when really he thought Flux was alone, but when he saw Saps, he thought he was disturbing them and just wanted to leave the two lovebirds by themselves.
Flux and Saps both waved goodbye to Legacy. They continued to walk in silence, before Saps spoke up, breaking the silence.
“Flux.”
“Hm?”
“Since you’re President now, does that mean you’ll stay at the Acropolis or are you going to move back to Luminara?”
“You’re kidding right? Of course I’m not moving out. What kind of a fiancé would I be if I did.”
“Flux… but you’re president now. You’re supposed to be here for your citizens.”
“That I know, but don’t worry about it, I’ll be working on things to make it easier for us, but also for my citizens. I have Thomas and the others to help out. Besides, a president isn’t a president without a team, am I right?”
Saps laughed, really happy with the response.

It was starting to get dark, so Flux and Saps decided to go get some dinner and head back to the Acropolis. So they decided to go visit a restaurant. Just a nice little comforting place. When they arrived, the waitress was surprised to see them, congratulating Flux on his promotion. Flux appreciated it. They were seated at one of the corners of the restaurant with a window view of Luminara. It was beautiful. This reminded Saps on their first date, back in Theria. The waitress came back with the menu for both of them. They ordered their food and chatted about their plans in the future while waiting for their food to arrive.
“You know, this kinda reminds me of the time we had our first date in LPH.”
“Hm… Oh yes, it was quite similar.”
“I wonder how Drip is doing now, hopefully business is booming.”
“Can't lie, LPH had some delicious chicken.”
They continued talking until their food arrived, thanking the waitress for the service. They continued chatting as they ate, talking more about the past and future plans. Once they finished their food, they paid and left for the docks, slowly making their way back to the Acropolis. The boat ride was quiet, yet not in an awkward way. They were just enjoying the view of the archipelago. Saps was rowing, and Flux was looking at the stars.

They had finally arrived at Saps' Acropolis. Once they were inside, they immediately cleaned themselves up, changed into comfortable clothes and headed to bed. Flux was the first to be on the bed. Today was a big day. Now that it's over, he finally had time to rest. Saps came out of the shower with only pants and a towel over his shoulders. God he looked ethereal when his long lustrous hair was wet, Flux thought. Saps went to Flux's side of the closet, rummaging to find one of Flux's oversized shirts.
“Wow, you really just gonna take one of my shirts?”
“It's more comfortable than my shirt, besides, you're wearing mine.”
Right.
Flux is in fact wearing Sap's shirt.
Flux scoffed while smiling, “Touché.”
Saps finally found the shirt he was looking for. It was, of course, a plain purple t-shirt that Flux had bought when they were in Tricolor. He put on the shirt and jumped onto bed, cuddling Flux. Flux cuddled back, of course. The softness of Saps’ hair, his warmth, and his touch, was all that Flux needed after a long day.
“Big day tomorrow huh, first day as President. How amusing!” Saps said
“Yea it is. Too bad I can't see you all day.”
“Yea that's too bad, but you'll have me at the end of the day!”
Flux smiled at that. But yea, he'll miss not being able to be with Saps the whole entire day, but that won't happen all the time right? Besides, Saps could always visit whenever he has work at Luminara. He had to have a good night's rest today. Couldn't be too sleep deprived.
“Goodnight love.” Saps said.
“Good night, darling.”
And so, the couple gave each other a good night kiss before they went into deep slumber, resting before tomorrow comes.
