During the colosseum battle, flux errrr confessed? (Idk, I forgot.) and saps was given another chance at life, a day before the betrayal.
Saps tells flux he knows about the trap and uhh they do gay shitalso this is a murderer mystery!
side note: there’s a lil bit of smut but it’s not graphic and it’s cut off but idk if that counts as crossing the cc’s boundaries. also there’s like ALOT of fluff
Another side note this isn’t a slow burn they get together pretty fast, like the FIRST chapter they kiss

Summary
His eyes never left Saparata's. There was no pleading or fear in them, nothing that Saps would expect from a man in his position, just level determination, like he was trying to see through Saparata’s eyes into his brain, like he could hear his thoughts if he stared hard enough.
So Saps stared back, unwilling to be the one to back down, to look away. Once, maybe, when they were friends he would have, he would have made some joke to ease the tension and let Fluixon win. But that was a lifetime ago, and he wasn't that person anymore. Neither of them were.

After being on the run for about a year, fate seems to lead Fluixon back to Saps, again. And Saps is a little sick of it. And yet, here he is, insisting he be the one to take Fluixon prisoner. Because really, if anyone kills Flux, it should be him. But does he even want to anymore?
AU where Saps never sends that message to Flux, they never fight in the arena, and Saps has to figure out exactly what rebuilding a life means.
