He looks down at his hands, at the silver ring he wore today, because he liked how it looked with his outfit. Without giving himself time to reconsider, he slides it from his right hand onto his left ring finger. It’s not a wedding band, but it’s round, metallic, and close enough for dim lighting.
“Buck,” Eddie says, halfway between warning and laughter. “No.”
Buck is standing before Eddie can escalate to physical restraint. He turns toward the happy couple and beams. “Hey, what a coincidence. We just got hitched, too.”
