Moonflowers (Old)

Summary:

(This fic is being redone! Stay tuned <333)
After saving the Galaxy and reuniting with her long lost sibling, Princess Rosalina has enjoyed prosperity and peace as the protector of the stars. Princess Daisy serves her kingdom well, while still feeding her neverending need for adventure. Both are smitten with each other, and both are too shy to admit it. But fortune shines on them when they're brought together for a vacation in Bubblaine, the City of Love. Will the Seaside Kingdom work its magic to help the couple blossom, or will the girls' fear of failure keep them from finding joy?

Notes:

I've wrote chapters in my sketchbook before posting it here, so I'm writing from memory. And since each chapter fits the length of a notebook page, they'll be pretty short. But there should be a lot of chapters, so it'll be short and sweet. I wrote this to cheer myself up while I was sick, and then February just happened to roll around. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1: Part 1

Chapter Text

Princess Rosalina was many things. A beloved mother, cherised by her dear Luma children. A mighty warrior of the cosmos, whose star-woven magic had the power to destroy or delight. A sophisticated and highly imaginative bookworm, whose storybooks were almost as precious as the reader's soul.

One thing Rosalina was not, however, was a screaming fangirl. Or at least she thought she would never subdue herself to fawning over a person's supposedly attractive qualities in the hopes they'd give her a millisecond of their attention. No, she considered herself intelligent, insightful...until she admitted the joyfully painful truth that she was in love.

With none other than Princess Daisy of Sarasaland.

Hopelessly in love, is how Rosie felt. Because who could dare match the golden radiance of Daisy's smile, her wit, her kindness, those soft autumn-colored curls, her sculpted figure—and above all, her heart...so full of life, of love. Rosalina did not think she could ever be equal to such a goofy, adorable, wonderful human being. So she resigned herself to watching Daisy from afar, like her guardian angel. Except she'd been struck by another angel's arrow of unattainable romance.

But her burning cheeks begged her to not accept defeat. She was a wielder of cosmic energy after all, and many people unknowingly send their wishes to her. How come she couldn't have a stellar miracle for herself? So, she mustered all of her bravery, and warped to the Mushroom Kingdom, in search of the one person she hoped could fix her royal dilemma—Princess Peach, her sister.
