"Huh? W-where am I?" As Noelle awoke, she was not where she was supposed to be. Wasn't she just with Berdly at the Library…? Checking her surroundings, the skyline in the distance seemed relatively normal, though almost everything being made of metal certainly wasn't.
Looking down at herself, she saw she was in a long cloak of white fabric. On her left hand was a ring, adorned with snowflakes in blue, pink, and white.
"Is this a dream…?"
Still trying to get her bearings, Noelle stood up. At that very moment, a plug whizzed by, directly over her head.
Falling to the ground once again, she let out a cry for help. "Somebody help me… Somebody, please…"
A regal, robotic voice boomed from the surroundings. "Greetings Lightner Are You Perhaps Noelle?"
Noelle visibly flinched from the loud sound. "Um… Y-yes? Who are you?"
"Sorry Let Me Introduce Myself. You May Call Me: Queen."
Noelle flinched again. "Queen? Um… sorry to bother you, but you're a little l-loud."
"Oh Yes Sorry About That. Volume Circuits At 50 Percent (Quieter)."
Two figures were on the horizon, approaching Noelle. Though she couldn't see any detail, the silhouettes seemed familiar, friendly even.
"You Are Very Important To My Plans Noelle. I Cannot Let Your Friends Intervene."
"W-what are you going to do to them?"
"Oh Nothing Just Distract Them Until You Do What I Want You To. (And Maybe Capture Them)."
Before Noelle could respond, the two figures cautiously approached Noelle. Still cloaked in shadow, the taller one stepped forward. "Noelle! Are you alright?"
"S-Susie!? I'm f-fine I think, I just kinda fell…"
Looking closer, it was clearly Susie, sporting a sleeveless leather vest, spiked armbands, and boots. Alongside her was Kris, clad in knight's armor. Kris's skin was unusual, a pale blue instead of their normal yellow.
Susie stepped closer, and reached out her hand. "Look, we should probably get moving. If you need help I can like, carry you, or something."
Noelle blushed a bit, before remembering something. "W-wait! You two should get out of here before it's too late! She's going to capture you…"
"Huh?? Who's--"
A cage dropped from the sky, just barely missing Susie. She noticed too late who was actually captured.
"Noelle!!!"
A woman, clad in blue and white, floated in on a rocket propelled chair. She laughed regally. "Hell Of A Study Session."
Susie jumped back. "Who the fuck are you??"
"Woah You Really Don't Need To Use That Kind Of Language. To Answer Your Question, I Am Known As Serial Number Q5U4EX7YY2E9N. But You Foolish Children May Call Me: 'Queen'."
"Like hell we're gonna call you 'Queen', Q5U--3--7, uh."
"Q5U4EX7YY2E9N." Kris corrected, a smug grin on their face.
Queen's jaw dropped. "Oh Damn. I Didn't Think You'd Remember That So Quickly (Impressive)."
Susie rolled her eyes. "Always fuckin' flexing on me."
Kris exaggeratedly blew a kiss at Susie, who returned the gesture by grinning and flipping them off.
Turning back to Queen, Susie stared directly at Queen's visor. "Anyway, we're not 'children', 'Queen'."
"Teenagers Are Merely Big Children (And Adults Are Even Bigger Children)." Queen's visor flashed the word 'TRUE'.
Susie's eyes narrowed. "...Doesn't that make you a child too then?"
"No I Am: A Computer (Smart)." The word on Queen's visor switched to 'NICE'.
"A… computer?" Susie raised a brow, processing what Queen said.
"Well Anyway Thank You For The Stimuli And Surprise But I Must Leave Now (Goodbye)"
Queen started floating away, just as Susie shouted a question. "Wait just a second! Why'd you capture Noelle!"
"I Would Have Captured You Too But I Ran Out Of Cages."
Queen turned back to leave, before once again being interrupted by Susie shouting another question.
"Why the capturing!?"
"She Is Very Important To My Plans You See. She Will Become My Willing Peon In My Quest For World Domination. Also Maybe I Will Turn Her Face Into A Robot One?"
"What!? Why!?"
"Seems Cool." Queen shrugged.
"Well, forget it, dude. No one's turning anyone's face into a robot!" Susie pointed up at Queen, baring her teeth.
"Oh I Maybe Perhaps Have Already Have Done That To Others But Point Taken."
"Then I'll just have to stop you from continuing!" Susie growled, jaw clenched.
Queen's face turned to smug amusement. "Could That Be A Statement Of Animous Dissension?"
"What?" Susie tilted her head in confusion.
"You Wanna Fight, Loser?"
"Obviously, yeah!"
"Oh Then Bye." Queen's throne started floating away for the third time.
Susie chased after the floating throne. "Wait a goddamn second! Get the fuck back here!" Kris followed close behind.
"I Have No Time For Such Frivolities (And Would Kick Your Ass). But Perhaps Someone Else Could Entertain You. Enjoy: Your Assimilation. Toodles!"
As Queen continued to float away, two Werewires dropped from the ceiling.
Susie concentrated her will, summoning her axe. "Alright, genius. How the hell are we gonna get out of this one?"
The Werewires made a sharp buzzing noise, causing both Kris and Susie to jump slightly. The first Werewire aimed for Susie. Bolts of plasma ripped through the air, which Susie blocked with the head of her axe. The second aimed for Kris, who didn't notice in time. Susie jumped in front of them, grunting as she took a hit to her shoulder.
Kris finally spoke. "I dunno, we could try and hold off until your favorite goat boy gets here?"
Susie scoffed, blocking another bolt from the Werewires. "Look dude, I know these dark worlds are like, supernatural and shit but can we really expect Ralsei--"
The signature snap of a Pacify spell rang out from behind both of them, cutting off her question. The wires disappeared, letting the Plugboys free.
Susie turned to face the spellcaster. "Ralsei! You're here!"
"I felt a dark presence and hurried over… it seems there's a new dark fountain."
Kris tossed Susie a Dark Candy, Susie sighing before she could take a bite.
"Ralsei… they got Noelle. I don't know what she was thinking, messing around in our Dark World! But if we don't do something…"
"Don't worry Susie, we'll save her. All we have to do is seal the Fountain, right?" Ralsei smiled up at Susie, who was currently chewing the entire Dark Candy at once.
Susie hugged the fluffy boy without warning, eliciting a surprised squeak from him. "Yeah! Can't be mad about another adventure, right Kris?"
Kris nodded and gave a thumbs up.
"Fuck yeah, now let's go find Queen!"
