Is Cucumber interested in Alex and Loki because they are ace characters in PIDW, or could I just not stop myself from throwing my OCs at the audience?

This just might be the most dialogue heavy part in this entire comic.

Being on chapter 8 now with drawing this comic everything in this chapter feels so thickly laid. Like, at least half of you should know exactly where this story is going. But then again, maybe because I know where this story is going, it only seems so obvious to me…

Also, I love drawing Jaskier, the cat. When I finally move on to making my original comics, he gets the second story after Alex and Loki get theirs.

Some of you might have noticed this is now part 24/100. Don't know if it's going to be exactly 100 parts but I am in the middle of the planned story and around part 50 now so it should be close enough. I gave that number to signal to potential readers that this story is fully outlined and will not be abandoned unless I die or sth. I will update the number once I have more concrete data.

Navigating a relationship that didn’t start off in any capacity as healthy is not easy. They are both doing their best.

I waited SO LONG to post this!

Also, seeing this after working on chapter 9 the entire day has given me emotional whiplash.

There is a reason this comic is tagged with ‘Shang Qinghua is the cause of his own problems.’ This is why! Even where there is no problem he tends to imagine there is one!

Also, I am running out of space in my binder for the paper draft. I will need a new one soon! I tend to decorate them with stickers relevant to the subject matter, and I like to print my own - this way I can always have Alex and Loki among the canon characters!

In short, I will be posting some coloured art on my Tumblr within a couple of weeks if you want to give me a follow there!

In other news, chapter 9 seems to be very unlucky chapter indeed. I cannot seem to be able to finish it. First, the whole month of December happened and now, my drawing app crashed. I had 11 pages left in the chapter, all finished, except for the last one which I was going to complete yesterday. And then the app crashed and I lost everything; App still doesn't work.
it won't affect posting schedule on AO3 just yet, but I am slowly running out of pages that are ready. Sorry about that. As soon as I get something working I will go back to drawing and, hopefully, catch up a little bit.

Also, I just got baby steps, after watching Markiplier play it. The main character is so awkward but so determined [to get to a loo], I kinda see SQH in him.

Also, also, looking at the Ica Palace now, I think living in there would kill me. The other day I tried with my friends to climb Snowdon, which is the highest mountain in Wales. Did not make to the top and thought my heart would jump out of my chest. Do not recommend.
I am trying again next month and I will make it to the summit. Eventually. I am very stubborn.

This is so long xD And I just reached 300 pages and I'm up to Chapter 10, part 5 in completion. The story is only half-way done xD I am crying tears of exhaustion xD

Sometimes I wish I could poison everyone at work or set the place on fire. And by that I mean, Alex is very relatable to me, personally.

A man with a plan! And he cried barely at all!

Definitely not as much as I did when I saw my dental treatment bill today. My broke ass will feel it for months. And I need to go back for a second visit at the beginning of June. No vacations for me this year 🤣

Also, I've been really struggling to draw the last couple of weeks. I need a break. This chapter will update as always [pages are finished] but you can expect a month-long break after, so I can recharge my batteries a little.

I didn't want to butt in on your conversation and spoil anything but, please, know it made my whole week! I really appreciate you so much!

I appreciate all of you who read this comic, leave kudos and take their time to leave a comment. Thanks to you, this project is way more fun than it would have been otherwise.

Having said that, break is still happening in the near future. But! How so we feel about genie!SQH and MBJ as his master side-project?

The tension is running high.

Qinghua is not having a great time.
It's been half a year since I drew these pages but rereading them reminded me how much it hurt to have SQH say these words.

Also, some people were worried/angry on behalf of Alexander last chapter. Which is great, because it means my OCs are liked :D At least, Alexander is. Anyway, I just wanted to point out that violence is perfectly normal for demons, both as form of punishment and encouragement. MBJ wasn't doing anything, he would not have done to any other servant.

SQH is obviously now exempt from such treatment. The reason Loki was looking cross with MBJ was because it was unwritten rule that Alexander was as well. I don't think I will have the chance to explain it anywhere in the story so here it goes:
Alexander is a fae, who used to live in the fae court before he moved to the forest alone. Violence is not a part of fae culture [they're more passive aggressive.] The first time Alexander was victim of regular abuse was when he and Loki were captured. They made sure this wouldn't happen again.
Loki is a crossroads demon. She's more familiar with violence than her husband.
Having said that, it's not like they don't understand MBJ's behaviour at this point. They don't have to be happy about it, but they accept it.
