“I will shortly. For now, I need to finish overseeing Yamato’s nap, if the three of you don’t mind.”
Naruto blanched, clearly offended.
“You don’t even want to know why you need to come back?”
“Oh, Naruto, leave him alone!”
Ignoring Sakura’s protest, Naruto whipped back to Kakashi and blurted in a loud holler the absolute last phrase Kakashi and Yamato had expected.
“We saw your old girlfriend!”
