Sir Pentious has a pernicious plan. He has a villainous vision. He has a foolproof, 100% guaranteed, and totally-not-one-sided partnership with the Vees. All he has to do is infiltrate the Hazbin Hotel, spy on the Radio Demon, and deliver information. Then he'll finally be the Overlord he was always meant to be. What could possibly go wrong? (Besides friendship. And sticker collections. And, ugh, redemption.)
[A/N:] This is a Sir Pentious-driven reimagining of Season 1. It follows the core canon while focusing on his developing relationships at the Hazbin Hotel. The tone starts light but will lean into what redemption actually costs, not just what it means. Expect extra character growth, plenty of redemption exercises, and an absurd amount of crumpets.

Summary

Summary
Harry and Kim get their first murder assignment as partners 4 months after the events in Martinaise. A young woman is found dead in a motel in the lawless Boogie Street area.
The RCM is backlogged. Boogie Street murders rarely get solved, especially when sex workers are involved.
They intend to beat the odds and find the killer, but there is much more hindering the investigation than uncooperative witnesses.

Captain Pryce nods to himself and turns around in his chair. He stares out the arched window to Central Jamrock. Far away, the smokestacks of Coal City spew black clouds into the air. “Because if you don’t get anywhere, well.” He lets the rest of the sentence hang. This is still a kid gloves case. Lieutenant Double-Yefreitor Harrier Du Bois is allowed to fail this one.
