Summary
Maybe the worst part of having to share your body with another sentient and (allegedly) intelligent mind, she’d discovered, is that you share everything, even emotions. The worst thing about having Johnny Silverhand specifically in your mind is that the fucker never knows exactly what emotions he’s feeling, and usually denies feeling anything at all.
Johnny has never been one to shy away from naming the elephant in the room, as much as V would prefer he didn’t. After all, she is forced to sort through the sordid details of his stupidly complex emotions without complaint, so the least he can do is not point out that she’s a sexual being just to piss her off.

“You liked that,” Johnny says, slouched against the warehouse wall. His voice is somewhere between bemused and impressed. “Fuck me, you little psycho. Didn’t know you had it in you.”

V wakes in a Night City that is not her own. Johnny is gone, her head is quiet, and the events of the Night City Holocaust are just hours away.
She does not know how or why she finds herself in 2023. But every time she blunders on whatever task she is here to complete, someone is sending her cryptic messages that reset time in a loop - never the same minute, but always the same location - and she thinks the enigmatic clues might be the thing that will get her home.

"Everything to do with you has to do with me," Johnny tells V.
Maybe that's true, or maybe he's just a narcissistic bastard. Either way, things between V and her resident brain parasite are pretty weird, and they're only going to get weirder when V takes a routine gig that goes explosively sideways.

Summary
Meetra knew it for a dream, but it was the logic of dreaming that, in the moment, this didn't matter.
A regularly scheduled nightmare is interrupted by a pazaak match, and both players discover that some old mental patterns are no longer functioning quite as they used to.
This originally wanted to be purer PWP but then insisted on growing more substance and getting character-studyish.
