"Uh," Henry says. He's pretty sure dashers don't talk this much during orders.
"Anyway," the man says, handing the bag of food to Henry, "enjoy your night."
Five times Henry gets late-night food from his insanely hot DoorDasher Alex, and one time they get food together at a normal time.

Summary
Today, as Henry tells him all about the Manchego, Alex tries his best to listen and not fixate on the mole next to the corner of Henry’s mouth or the way his shoulders strain the seams of his white uniform shirt. It’s not a particularly easy task for him, in all honesty.
“Would you care for a sample?” Henry asks, as if Alex has ever said no to him.
“I’d love one,” Alex tells him instead of saying I’d like to sample you.
(Or, Henry sells cheese and Alex is somehow his best customer. It's not really about the cheese.)

Alex’s jaw clenches. “He’s a good dude.”
“He is. Handsome too.” He has no clue why he says it until it’s already out in the open.
“Huh,” Alex says, eyes dark when they meet Henry’s, “you think?”
Henry finds himself nodding, swallowing tightly around the glass of water Alex passes him. “Yes. He’s from Texas, isn’t he?”
“We both are.” Alex’s knuckles are tinged with white where they sit around his glass. “Grew up together.”
“Cowboy,” Henry snorts, a private joke almost to himself. He’d had a bit of a thing for cowboys in his youth. Something that had unfortunately also crossed over into his writing.
“You like cowboys?” Alex asks.
And suddenly it feels dangerous.
Or, Pez is determined that this blind date will be the one to end all others. Henry's a lot more interested in his date's best friend.

stunning. beautiful. perfect. wonderful. incredible. a must fucking read for anyone who goes feral when the words firstprince are uttered. so well written that i cried the entire time i was reading it just because the author is so brilliant (it wasn’t a sad fic, it was in fact quite the opposite of sad. crying is just like 80% of my personality)
