Bookmarker's Notes
A beautiful piece that focuses on making the mundane task of getting ready interesting. It highlighted the scars and struggles of the past while focusing on the present moment, and it showed how the relationship between Riza and Roy developed over the years. I loved (and found myself impressed) that the author captured their personalities in under nine hundred words. I would recommend!

Summary
“You need to stop scratching. You’ll get an infection.” Roy said, grabbing Ed’s wrist yet again. It was torturous having Ed’s nails ever so close to the itchy spot on his thigh and suddenly being unable to relieve it.
“What…?”
“Chickenpox, Edward. You have chickenpox.”

Bookmarker's Notes
A phenomenal piece of work. It has beautiful prose, and the characterization is so well done that it could be mistaken for an official work. I would recommend this to anybody, even if you aren’t a part of the fandom!

Summary
The irony was, Dick didn’t see the green mist settle in until it was on his tongue. An acrid, medicinal film, seizing his lungs in a chokehold while he buckled over, hands clutching at his knees for a sense of stability.
His hand shot up to his mouth, it clamped around his nose, he held his breath; all attempts in vain to undo what he knew would begin soon.
He made an ‘abort’ gesture, stumbling back into the shadows. “Robin,” he rasped out. “Code Fern. I’ve been hit, we’re heading out.”
(or: dick gets hit with fear toxin. this experience reveals a lot of surprising conversations he needs to have with his brothers.)

The first half focuses on D’s struggle with hallucinations and flashbacks, with the second half focused on repairing relationships and clearing up misunderstandings between the brothers. A beautiful fic, gold star.

Summary
“Batman,” Dick stresses quietly, trying to telepathically convey his desperation. “Please.”
Either it sails right over Bruce’s head, or he’s too determined to stop the violence to pass up on the help. “I understand that the two of you have a past, but personal hang-ups have no place on the field. Tarantula has intel that would take us days to acquire on our own. Unless you have a real, justifiable reason for shutting her out, we’re keeping her on the case. At least until we have the situation under control. Am I understood?”
Biting his tongue until he tastes blood, Dick nods.
(AKA the fic where Dick is forced to deal with Tarantula again and finally confront the trauma that's been eating him alive since the assault)

Bookmarker's Notes
A really good introspection of D’s trauma involving C. The writing itself holds a lot of depth, and I could probably reread it a hundred times and still stumble upon new implications. 10/10, gold star for you, author.

Bookmarker's Notes
A bittersweet read that focuses on the effects of trauma—both physiological and psychological— shown by Ed and his loved ones. I love the way the author captured their feelings of guilt, and the story was pretty fluent at portraying each character similarly to their canon personalities. I enjoyed the usage of the lullaby as a coping mechanism, and I think it was a nice touch to their closeness.
