Qifrey just looks at him. “I do.”
The rain continues falling.
(And so Olruggio forgets. And he inevitably figures it out again, because of course he does; and he inevitably chooses to forget again, and again, and again, because his heart is always the same. The story is always the same. Like a tale from under a silverwood tree, like a myth from the days of old, not so much tied by the constraints of the narrative so much as being narrative itself. Antigone must bury her brother. Iphigenia must be put to death. At a thousand turns, in a thousand ways, Orpheus must turn, and he must look, again, and again.
And Olruggio forgets.)

And it turns out that a group of seven thousand people cannot all be forced to go obediently into the dark.

Summary
Ketheric Thorm and Moonrise Towers have been defeated. On the morrow, Wyll, Astarion, and the others will make for Baldur's Gate to face the other Chosen of the Dead Three and the Elder Brain they command.
While the Harpers and tieflings celebrate, Wyll thinks of his father and all the ways he is not, has never been, good enough. Astarion stumbles his way through sincerity.
And the sun rises on these once-cursed lands for the first time in a hundred years.

After Shadowheart lets her parents go to be with Selune and to truly free herself of Shar's curse, Shar decides to punish her and all her friends too by one last burst of amnesia.
Thankfully this is an experienced group of adventurers who can react to new, interesting problems with logical and rational thinking.
