"It doesn't matter." Toya shakes his head, and against his will, he feels like laughing. Hysteria bubbles up in his chest as he takes a shaky step back, and his next breath comes out more like a gasp. "It's f-fine, I just don't… You need to go practice," he insists, hating the way his voice cracks and how ragged his breaths sound even to his own ears. His chest aches, and it's all he can do not to wrap his arms around himself and hide.
Even at Toya's worst, his partner will always be there for him.

The edge of the city is peaceful, if a little unsightly. Uneven rows of small houses sit along unpaved dirt roads, far removed from the ever-lit skyscrapers suffocating every inch of downtown. Out here, if you try, you can almost see the stars.
VBS are up to no good in the city, as they often are; Mizuki tries her best to patch her girlfriend up after.

“Whatever, I got one. How d’you feel about Toya? Haven’t seen you guys hold hands like that before.” Akito can see her smile through the glass of her cup as she raises it to her mouth, and the slightly amusing distortion does nothing for the sudden pang in his chest.
Akito and An have a few drinks together after one of Vivid BAD SQUAD’s shows. More than a few questions are asked.

The girls are looking at him intently, their gazes boring into him. Toya’s leg starts bouncing out of habit, something he doesn’t even notice until An glances down under the table. He takes another deep breath.
“I want to know how to stop. Liking hi—” Toya cuts off as An and Kohane’s mouths both drop open. “W-what?”
Toya struggles with his feelings for Akito; the Vivids help him out.
