Upon opening the doors, all three kids race out to the parking lot, full sprinting to a car with a figure leaning against it. When Eddie reaches the gravel lot, he nearly keels over in shock. Reclined on his trademark maroon beamer is none other than Steve Harrington.

Summary
It's 7 years after the Upside Down closed, 7 years since The Party had to endure so much and still almost lost. Dustin is graduating from college, and Steve decides to take a trip. He needs to be in New York by the end of May, but Steve decides to leave Hawkins behind early and takes off when spring break starts. He needs this trip to clear his head and do some healing, alone in the silence of his RV. That's the plan, and his trip is going well until an unexpected flat tire leaves him stranded in San Francisco. Alone on a Friday night, Steve needs a drink, and as if the fates were listening, he finds a bar across the street from his motel. Enjoying a drink and a smoke, he hears a laugh like the ghost from his past. He knows it can't be Him-- knows there's no way in hell because he's 7 years gone and Steve isn't stupid enough to believe it could be him. But what if it is?

What if they left Eddie's ending open like they did for El's? What if Eddie lived and moved across the country and started fresh? What if Steve runs into him, and everything he thought he knew comes crashing down on him when he sees Eddie Munson alive?
