"I want to take care of everyone," Flop says, finally, after a long hesitation. He sounds defeated. "And I don't think I can." He says it like it's a character flaw that's pissing him off, some sin he's reluctantly confessing to. It hurts, and it's painfully familiar. Therapist, heal thyself.
"Jesus, we really are the same person," Ziggy mutters, and Flop laughs so abruptly that it feels loud in the stillness of the hospital room.
Ziggy and Flop have a long night after Rue is admitted into the ICU.

They have taken it relatively slow but the truth of all of those things became abundantly clear to Buck, and undoubtedly to Tommy too, within probably three days of ‘good morning’ texts and invitations to go hiking in the LA foothills.
